Glaitness School offers 3 sessions free of charge taster sessions in badminton and netball each September.\u00a0 Parents and caregivers are then asked if they wish their child to continue.\u00a0 For those that continue, there is a small charge made to cover Pickaquoy hire and competition fees for tournaments involving other schools throughout Orkney.\u00a0 Although these clubs are mainly offered to P5-P7 pupils, there may be opportunity for some P4 pupils to participate depending on space and the number of volunteer helpers.<\/p>\n
There are also 3 free taster sessions for football, and these are specifically used to select pupils to play for the Glaitness Schools Primary League competitions.\u00a0 Selection is based not only on ability but on positive behaviour and attitude.\u00a0 It is a privilege to represent the school.
